Kep runs entirely on your device. There is no account system, no Kep server, no analytics, no advertising, and no cross-app tracking. The developer never sees or receives your images, text, or any other data.
All of it lives in the app container and in the App Group group.com.kep.app, shared only between the Kep app, its share extension, and its widget.

Declining Photos access does not disable Kep — you can still pick images manually or share them in.
Spotlight: off by default. If you turn it on, Kep adds each item's title, summary, tags, and recognized text to the iOS search index, which stays on this device. Turning it off removes them again immediately.
Exports and backups: Kep writes the file into its own temporary space and hands it to the system share sheet, which sends it only where you choose. Nothing is uploaded anywhere on its own.
Thai, English, Traditional Chinese, and Arabic OCR runs on device with Vision. Titles, summaries, and categories use Apple's Foundation Models on Apple Intelligence-capable devices, processed on device; otherwise Kep falls back to its own local analyzer. Nothing is sent off the device at any step.
Kep Pro is sold through Apple's StoreKit. Apple handles all payment and card data directly. Kep only receives whether you are entitled to Pro, and never sees your payment details.
Kep contacts no developer-operated server. The only network activity is the system talking to Apple's App Store to fetch products and purchase status.
Delete individual items in the app, or delete Kep to remove everything it stored, including App Group data. Because there is no server, no copy of your data exists anywhere else.
Kep is not directed at children under 13 and collects no data from them — it collects no data off the device from anyone.
